What type of mop is your favorite

l like the convenience and compactness of a sponge mop, but the heads seem
kitty
to disintegrate awfully fast. Any suggestions? What about these

RubberMaid has a mop I am not sure the name but it has a very thick cotton

head , & it is easy to ring as well with out having to touch it .

I used the swiffers once & I didnt like them , they didnt seem to get my
floors clean unless I moped them with a regular mop first .

I also like sponge mops i get mine at the dollar tree for a dollar , & I
have had the one i have now for about 6 months & it is still good unlike
the ones i got from dollar general which lasted no more than 2 months , &
I do sterilize the sponge mops after I mop with them I just boil a pot of
water & pour it into the mop bucker add 1 cup of bleach soak it for 3
minutes & it good to go , a woman who cleaned hospitals told me about
sanitizing them.

I am wanting to try the swiffer sweep & vac but I am contemplative due to
the other experiances I had Like the swiffer sweeper where you can use
dry or moist pads , I started getting teh pads at the dollar store because
the swiffer ones were so expensive, & each time I would mop with it I would
have to sweep with a regular broom because the dry pads didnt pick up all
that was on my floors & then it would take 6-10 of the wet //moist pads to
mop one floor.. & it was cheaper to just buy a good mop & some pine sol or
fabuloso & mop.

I love the Swiffers too. I always buy them now. They smell

great & you just toss the pad after each use. It is probably not very

environmentally friendly though. But I find using a mop over & over is

thing on them look good too. I don't have one, but I might get one. I
usually use one pad per room, cause I find they dry out quickly, so with
the liquid spray, maybe one pad would last through each room. But then
you spend extra money on the liquid or extra on the pads. Probably works
out the same so you'd have try it & see what you like best.

So, when I started using the LIBMAN WONDER MOP I was amazed. The mop is

made in the UNITED STATES & has been around forever. The pole is

lightweight plastic that has microfiber, absorbent heads that are machine

washable. BONUS! Just machine wash & let it air-dry don't use fabric
softener or dryer sheets. The head is easy to change.

I don't like the swiffer- you have to use ''special'' refills/liquids & I
don't like to use too many chemicals on my floors.. You also have to buy
disposible pads which to me are a waste of money.

I simply use a disenfectant detergent in one bucket with warm water & then
I rinse the mop & do a once over with another bucket of warm clean, clear
water.. It takes a few moments extra but, the floor is really clean.. I
have multiple mop heads that I use to mop or dry the floor as well.

It is also NOT expensive.. The basic pole/mop head is around $15 &
replacement heads are around $8. I've has no trouble finding a store that
carries the mop and/or refills.

I don't like sponge mops. They don't really absorb after a while & the mop
heads shred pretty easily. You can not machine wash them & sometimes it is
hard to find the refills.

I've used the RED VALEDA mop.. HORRIBLE. it is cumbersome, heavy & it is
near impossible to change the mop heads. I cut myself pretty badly trying
& almost needed stiches.

I've used old fashioned string mops with the wringer bucket but, that is
also heavy & messy..

So, LIBMAN so far is my favorite..

Good luck

those string mops. Or worse, those weird, machine washable, cloth strip
